Please read these necessary steps to protect yourself. Your insurance company should pay for the damage you’re covered for, but do you know what that is? And do you know how to avoid the traps insurance companies hope you fall into? Here’s what you need to know!

— LOCATE YOUR INSURANCE POLICY - If you don’t know where the full document is, digital or printed, locate it so you can reference at any time.

— TAKE PHOTOS - After the storm, make sure you get photos of each point of damage. Snap a full view, close up, and then each point of damage.
